That means everything that uses power from the battery bypasses the shunt. There is a cable from the chassis to the negative post on the lithium battery. Posted: Tue 8:56 am Post subject: Re: Renogy 500 A Battery Monitor Problem It should read there is a a cable for the P- post on the shunt to the solar panel and a cable from the P-post on the shunt to the common negative on the charger. A cable from the P- post to the common negative on the charger and a cable from the common negative on the charger to the solar panel. Before installing the battery i charged it to 100% with a Victron charger. I have gone over the wiring and believe it to be correct. When driving (no load) the capacity indicator percentage of the battery dropped (from 100% to 98%) along with the discharge indicator of the battery (100 Ah to 98 Ah) which suggest that I am losing capacity while driving. When I start the van the voltage increases but the present current (amps) is a negative. When I add a load (engine off) the voltage drops but the present current (amps) do not change. Everything is installed but the readings on the monitor do not seem to be correct. With that I added a Renogy DCC 30S 12 V on board battery charger, Renogy 500 A Monitor, Renogy 100w Solar Panel and the B-2 Bluetooth Module. I just installed a 50 amp GoWesty lithium battery.
